Plans have been submitted to convert the former Lostock Hall Medical Centre into a funeral home in Chorley.

South Ribble Council have received an application seeking permission for the change of the two-storey detached building with the ground floor of the premises being converted into  a funeral home, alongside a first floor office and new separate front entrance.

South Ribble Council has also been made aware through the planning statement that the applicants, GPB Investments, have secured specific interest in the potential funeral home at the site from Neal Buckley Funeral Director, which also has funeral homes in Penwortham, Tarleton and Hutton.

Earlier this year, an application was submitted by the applicants for retail use, which was later withdrawn in April.

The plans had been to convert the medical centre into a retailer with offices above to be separately entranced.
