Set in South Downs National Park, Clayton Wood Natural Burial Ground has launched a new website this month, providing customers with a more in-depth online look at its unique setting.
The new website includes images of the picturesque surroundings of the burial site as well as enhanced information about the wildlife that inhabits the 15 acres of countryside, from plants and trees to birds, bats and pond life. Customers can also browse a map of the plots; their list of services and prices; and request a brochure.
Teague Hickman, team leader at Clayton Wood Burial Ground said: “We are extremely proud of our new website, which rolled out this month. It’s a mobile responsive site, which is easy to use and which we feel provides a great deal of information for anyone who is considering our beautiful burial ground for their own or their loved one’s final resting place.
“We are particularly proud of the information we provide about the wildlife that lives in our grounds; people really take comfort in the fact that they can be part of a new English wood, set in 15 acres of countryside that will be protected from development and that they are helping to preserve this area of countryside, encouraging native wildlife to flourish.”
Clayton Wood is a tranquil natural burial ground, which opened in 2008 below the Jack and Jill Windmills. The woodland burial site at Clayton Wood has various dedicated areas for full natural burial and cremated remains, as well as memorial scattering lawns, surrounded by native trees for future generations to enjoy.
Clayton Wood is situated within a National Park and provides a peaceful place for family and friends to visit.
Clayton Wood is working in partnership with the Wildlife Trust to develop a long-term conservation plan for the site, as part of its commitment to sustainable management.
Through their community investment programme, Love Your Neighbourhood, Clayton Wood also supports local community groups and registered charities with donations of goods in kind, cash, time and fundraising; their chosen charity partner is Winston’s Wish, a charity for bereaved children.
