A new Independent and family-run funeral directors has recently opened its doors in Elburton, Plymouth.

Previously a florists, “The Old Smithy” in Haye Road South is now home to West Country Funeral Services managed by funeral director, Garry Jones MBIE. Assisted by a team of experienced part time and casual staff, it offers a comprehensive range of services including traditional, contemporary and green funerals.

Extensively and tastefully refurbished, the location now includes an office, arranging room, chapel of rest, coffin store and workshop, as well as mortuary facilities.

The Chapel and offices were recently officially opened by the Lord Mayor of Plymouth Councillor Vivien Pengelly, during which the chapel of rest was dedicated and blessed by Father Jaromir Wilczak and the Reverend Rod Thomas.
