Eastbourne funeral directors celebrates 175 years

Haine and Son funeral directors have celebrated 175 years in business with a special open day.


Located in Eastbourne, Haine and Son is part of CPJ Field and Co Company which encompasses 30 branches in the South East. The company marked its long history by opening its doors to the public to view the 19th Century building.

The open day, which was held on October 19 featured a guided tour of the premises as well as talks from experts regarding advice and guidance on monumental masonry and pre-paid funeral plans. A special horse –drawn carriage ride was also available to help portray a full experience.

Haine and Son is the oldest funeral directors in the town and on the day were dressed in full attire to commemorate 175 years of its heritage.
